Today’s visit to the bindery.
The actual meeting was really longer. We discussed several technical aspects of the work: how the leather perceives gilding (that’s why these are two samples, each with slightly different pressure), gluing text blocks, etc. The metal plate that I show in the video is intended for the spine and other for the front received only on Monday. They were ordered to a special company, and there was some delay on this side. Now we continue the final stage – binding the whole run.
