Despite the fact that this work is pure improvisation, a premonition of the coming war crept into it subconsciously, a feeling that my compatriots-Ukrainians are now experiencing. The orc army has concentrated on the border of my homeland and is ready to attack. (Azanulbizar, or the Battle of Azanulbizar is the most dramatic episode of Tolkien’s saga – battle between dwarfs and orcs.)

I finished this artwork February 6, two weeks before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It was created with the pain, my heart ached. A premonition of the coming war crept into it subconsciously, a feeling that my compatriots-Ukrainians are now experiencing. The orc army has concentrated on the border of my homeland and is ready to attack.
