"Seldom Bucket had always enjoyed opera. He didn’t understand it and never had, but he didn’t understand the ocean either and he enjoyed that, too".

I love Opera. I love this genre, combining almost every other of fine arts. This compound is not just a mathematical sum of it's components - music, drama, visual art, dance... Their symbiosis gives birth to something absolutely different, to the visual feast. This artwork belongs to my Carousel series.

Meditation at the End of Times
"Meditation at the End of Times", graphite pencil on paper, 16” x 21.5”,

The improvisation drawing begins from the random thoughts and continues following the process of thinking. Sometimes it stops, sometimes - bursts in several directions, leaving on paper lines, spots, images. Memories, flashing images, faces, figures, textures, jesters, some fluent reminiscences from books or films; anything could become the fabric of drawing.
